Sergeant Rudd began his service with the Broussard Police Department in January of 2014 and is currently assigned as the supervisor of the Traffic Division and the Field Training Unit. Sergeant Rudd is a seven year veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a member of Air Force Security Forces and as a Combat Arms Instructor, which included several overseas tours. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is a certified Field Training Officer. Sergeant Rudd has over ten years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career as a reserve deputy with the Curry County, NM Sheriff’s Office in 2002. Sergeant Rudd has since served as a patrol officer, field training officer, patrol shift supervisor, criminal patrol officer, and criminal investigator.
